  According to Lorretta’s history, she is a direct decendant of John Brundage, one of the original proprietors of Rye, NY (then in 1634 it was CT). May have been spelled Brondej and represented Rye in the General Assembly. Unclear about the spelling of the last name. Seems to be Brundige, but sometimes spelled Brundage
